In terms of services performed, finding the right buyers is only half the job. The other half lies in closing the deals. As a result, we partner with attorneys, accountants, business brokers, escrow agents, M&A advisors, private investors, and other business professionals to provide business brokerage, valuation, and business intermediary consulting services to both sellers and prospective buyers of small-to-medium size businesses in the Brazos Valley region of southeast Texas. We provide free business valuation services to our sell-side clients upfront, thus enabling them to get a better idea of what their businesses are worth per the current market in their locations. Then once a deal closes we get compensated via a commission based on the final sales price of the business sold.

Transworld Business Advisors at College Station does not charge a fee at all unless we sell your business. We work with a limited number of small-to-medium businesses for sale in the Brazos Valley region so that we can provide a focused marketing effort for each of these business opportunities. We market on venues designed to reach the most promising potential buyers and sell our client’s businesses confidentially. We market locally, regionally, nationally and internationally using the Internet, email campaigns, social media, targeted mailings, telemarketing calls, and our established network of contacts. We know how to position our client’s businesses to attract the right potential buyers. We write up market listings that bring out the strengths of our client’s businesses while also showing potential buyers the opportunities to improve on once a purchase deal has closed. Finally, we won’t provide the names of our client’s businesses or identify any of its details until a potential buyer has signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

What makes Transworld Business Advisors at College Station different from our competition?
* No upfront fees are involved as our competitive sales commissions are based solely on successfully completed transactions!
* We’re a small-to-medium size business brokerage that focuses on Sell-Side transactions!
* We help our clients set realistic goals and then work diligently to achieve them!
* In-depth research and analysis as our professionally designed market listings support each client’s objectives!

Business Exit Strategy Tip ->  The best time to sell a business is when it’s in an upward trajectory and there’s both a segue for growth and a reason to be positive for prospective buyers. But this also represents the hardest time for an owner to sell and walk away, thus resulting in a quandary for many business owners who end up staying on too long and missing the peak time to sell their businesses. In general, there are a number of market factors which can provide a solid indication of a good time to sell:
– A high volume of comparable business sales in your industry;
– An upward trend of sale prices;
– An upward trend of strategic acquisitions;
– A period of relatively low taxes;
– Interest rates that are lower compared to years past;
– An economy that shows signs of strength and growth;
– Affordable debt financing.

Goodwill Valuation Tip ->  As defined by BBP/DealStudio, goodwill is the “difference that exists between a business’s tangible assets and the purchase price. Goodwill can also be looked at as encapsulating all the hard work that the seller has put into the business while building it”. Additionally, the M&A Dictionary defines goodwill as an “intangible and fixed asset, one that can be carried on as an asset on the balance sheet, such as a recognizable company or product name or strong reputation. When one company pays more than the net book value for another, the former is typically paying for goodwill”.

E-2 Visa Applicants -> If you are a resident of another country trying to obtain an E-2 Visa via a US business purchase, then please email me at Lfry@tworld.com with any questions or concerns that you may have concerning the eligibility requirements, etc.

Important -> As a business broker/intermediary, I strongly encourage all of my clients to seek the services of qualified attorneys, accountants, and/or other professional advisors when entering into the sale or purchase of a business. Also, if you want to buy a good business with rock solid fundamentals that will transaction well & can grow under your ownership, then be prepared to pay a premium for it.
